- Craft an excellent personal statement. This is your time to get personal and show who you are and what experiences you have had that will make you successful in this field.
- Demonstrate your understanding and interest in the field. Medical schools need to know what skills you already bring to the table and that you are prepared for this career path. You can do this by listing work experience, volunteer work, or any shadowing experiences you have had.
- List any extracurricular activities you have taken part in. This is especially useful if you have taken on some kind of leadership role.
- Provide good references from people you have worked with that know you well.
